 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub of the American is an actor as well as a comedian and activist. After moving to America she was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents. She began her career as an actor for children. She is most famous for her appearances in AT&T television commercials. In these commercials, she was Lily Adams (2013 to 2016) and in 2020 (since 2020 (from). She was also a regular series regular on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015) and had a recurring role on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub, who was originally selected to voice the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's pilot that was never aired for New Warriors in 2018, has voiced the character since. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. When she was just two she emigrated with her parents to the U.S. to escape antisemitism. She was able to settle in West Hollywood. Due to financial hardships in the family, she started acting in Mattel Barbie commercials when she was just five years old. Vayntrub briefly studied at Beverly Hills High School. In her sophomore year she quit and obtained an GED. She continued however to earn the Bachelor of Arts Communication degree from the University of California San Diego. She was a part of the Upright Citizens Brigade, and was a student of the art of improv comedy.
